Kensington K72353US Wireless Presenter Pro with Green Laser Pointer Review
The new Kensington Wireless presenter was great. I am a Technology Coordinator at a K-8 school and used it during a parent/student ribbon pinning ceremony. It worked great and had great range. It allowed me to stay out of the way and just go from baby picture to baby picture without me obstructing the parents’ view of the baby pictures. I highly recommend the product. Kensington also has another wireless presenter that includes memory in the receiver. Both models are great. I especially liked the fact that the Kensington K72353US has a green laser which shows up better against the light from my LCD projectors and it comes with a case for it. Incompatible with MacBook Air – Drew Webb –
Beware this item if you own a MacBook Air! Despite the fact that previous versions of this wireless pointer work with the Air, the latest Presenter Pro with Green Laser Pointer (K72353US) does not. In addition, Kensington were singularly unhelpful in remedying the situation and admitting that they needed to announce this incompatibility issue. This was one of the best finds yet on Amazon!!! For anyone who has to do presentations this just fits in your hand and isn’t obtrusive. The best part about it, is there is an “on / off” switch to save your battery life!!! No software to load, just plug in the USB transmitter and away you go. The transmitter fits into the receiver / presenter and then all fit into a hardened carry case that will fit into any laptop bag.
I loaned it to a vendor who was in for a lunch and learn and they wanted to get all the info on it so that they could get one.

The USB attachment and slideshow controller are easy to use. The pointer fits nicely in my hand and being RF is better than the last controller I had which needed “line of sight”. I can advance a slide show with the controller behind my back which gives me more freedom. This is a superior product than the other manufacturer I previously had.

I wanted a green laser pointer small enough to keep on a keychain, and this is the only one I found on Amazon.
COLOR
The color of the laser pointer is a bright green, and will show up on just about everything. The beam is bright enough to significantly brighten a (small) dark bedroom if you shine it on the ceiling.
LAG/WARM-UP TIME
The reason I gave this 2 stars is that the laser requires a significant amount of time to “warm up.” Significant is 10-20 seconds, which seems longer when you’re ready to use it “now.” That being said, it stays relatively warmed up once you begin using it, but for a teacher who occasionally uses it to to point out stuff on the board, it’s not worth it (just get a red one).
However, if you’re going to use it in a presentation and almost constantly use it, that would be better for it.

Green and Red Laser Pointer Combo and Bonus Optical Cloth Review
Two buttons – one for red, one for green. The red beam is tight and typical, the green slightly wider and significantly brighter to the eye.
The battery installation directions were not very intuitive, and confused me greatly. No pictures, just something like “put the batteries in positive end up”. Apparently I kept putting them in backwards (which way is “up” is a laser pointer?), and got no beams. Thought at first maybe it was Dead On Arrival – as some others have reported. But after several failed attempts, I finally cautiously tried putting the batteries in the other way – and BINGO – it worked just fine. Fortunately it was apparently not damaged from having the batteries installed with reversed polarity. Point is – if yours doesn’t work, try putting the batteries in the other way, or get some new batteries and try again.
Not sure which laser uses more battery power, but if you are in a conference room with multiple laser pointers being used at the same time, having an alternate color comes in pretty handy…

I don’t want to say that this product is terrible. I think mine might be defective for some reason. The red pointer has a sort of ‘halo’ to the left and right sides, seemingly caused by a reflection from the ‘barrel.’ It’s as if the laser is hitting the edge of the inside and creating a ‘fan’, if you will, to the left and right sides. And also the green laser is great….after about 5 minutes of use. It’s like it needs to ‘warm up.’ I thought something was wrong at first, but then it began to be the same brightness as the red laser. I thought, “Oh ok, it’s cold from being in the mailbox.” It was fine for a while. After leaving it for a few hours though, it needed a ‘warm up’ time of a about 5 minutes again.
And it seems to have that problem that a lot of pointer have, where the batteries rattle around a bit.
Needless to say, I am contacting the seller and trying to see if a replacement will fix these two (annoying) problems or if a refund is necessary. Either way, my current laser pointer is very disappointing.

SuperDeal was GREAT and immediately sent me a new pointer. The green pointer was better, but the red part of the pointer still had this ‘halo’/fann-effect Trust me, this isn’t me being picky or anything. Both pointers had a big, clearly visible ‘fan’ thing going on. I’ve never seen this on any pointer. Not even free ones distributed by companies at a job fair. I was very disappointed because it’s a great feeling pointer with rubber, nice buttons, good green pointer…but the red pointer fails and ruins the whole thing. Getting a refund and going with a different brand…

I bought this combo laser pen a few Christmas’s ago for my son. The laser works fine but the threads holding the”pen” together broke a few months later. I was suprised when I actually got a reply from the seller (email) but they said there was nothing they would do about it.
Spend your money elsewhere!

Nice pointer, but only lasted <10 minutes of use – Dan L. – Austin, TX
My experience was great, at first. Although it was not clear which way the batteries went in, I did get it right. Initially the beam took a couple of seconds to start. After that is was instant on. I only used this for a few times to show other people the neat gadget. Then the beam started spreading into 5 dots and then got much dimmer with an oval shaped starburst pattern, getting worse as it was left on. When tried again, you get a dot for a few seconds and then it degrades.
I wish this thing worked better. It is very cool and I plan to get a replacement.
